Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a quiet meditative practice targeting the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, fascia, and the meridians, improving flexibility. Yin yoga has been known to improve sleep, calm the central nervous system and balance the mind & body, increase circulation, improve joint mobility, release fascia, and reduce stress and anxiety.

Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. We as humans tend to store emotional trauma, the big and the small things in our physical bodies. This practice is guided in a way that you will be able to access these stored traumas energetically held in the body and release them. Postures are held for 2-6 minutes while guided through a specific type of meditation called journeying, this allows the time needed to unlock and release these energies that can turn into dis-ease if left unaddressed. During yin yoga I utilize sound healing as a way to help align the energetic body during and after emotional release, crying is a common occurrence in this practice and will leave you feeling really great after so don't worry about the tears they serve a purpose in a good way.
